THE MOST WONDERFUL BOOK

The Bible is not just any book. It is a wonderful book -- the most wonderful book. It tells the story of Jesus. The story of Jesus is the best story of love there is, because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Now that's really love!

The Bible not only tells about Jesus, but about other people too -- good people and bad people. There are lots of good stories in the Bible. Some books of the Bible are even named after people -- like Matthew, John, Ruth, Daniel and Jonah. But the Bible is not only about those people. It is mostly about Jesus, because God gave us the whole Bible to tell us all about Him.

Some people like the Bible. They are called Christians. Other people do not like the Bible. We should feel sorry for them. Many people do not know about the Bible or Jesus’ love for them. We should pray for them and tell them about it. Do you like the Bible? I hope you do. I do.

There are lots of good verses and stories in the Bible. My most favorite verse is John 3:16. It says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes on Him may not perish, but have eternal life.”

I like this verse best of all because it says that God really loves me a lot, and that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Isn’t that a nice verse? There are lots more like it in the Bible. I like to read the Bible everyday, because it is a wonderful book.

Why don’t you read the Bible everyday? You’ll get to know Jesus better, and He’s the best friend in the whole world. Here’s a poem I made up about Jesus. I want to share it with you.
