A Friendly Warning
Danger!
What if you saw a blind man heading straight for a cliff, but felt too embarrassed to warn him? When you saw his mangled, lifeless body at the bottom of cliff, would you feel bad?
This is the kindest way I know to warn you that unless Jesus Christ is your Savior, you are headed for something much worse then a fall from a cliff! Each day moves you one step closer to a meeting with God, which you cannot avoid: "it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).
Listen!
Like that blind man nearing the cliff, you may not even realize your danger. The Lord Jesus, who wants to be your Savior, said, "If you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins" (John 8:24). Please listen to him!
Sin separates you from God: "Your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you." (Isaiah 59:2). If you die without repenting your sins, you will be separated from God and under His wrath forever. The Bible is very clear on this: "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who dose not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him" (John 3:36).
Change!
Maybe you have allowed Satan to deceive you into thinking there is no hell. The Bible says Satan is "a liar" (John 8:44). Jesus tells the truth: hell is a place of "everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41). Who are you going to believe? Trust Jesus as your Savior and you gain the peace and joy of knowing you are saved from hell’s fire.
Do you fear that if you trust Jesus you may have to make some changes in your life? This may be true, but He says it is far better to make those changes than for "your whole body to be cast into hell" (Matthew 5:29-30). For example, He tells us about an ungodly rich man who died. Even though his body was buried, in hell his spirit was still able to see, speak, remember, suffer and plead for a little water to cool his tongue because he was "tormented in this flame" (Luke 16:19-31).
Trust!
If you want to argue about hell, your argument is with God, not me. Whatever you think about hell now, the moment you die and awake in its fiery torment you will be convinced. But then it will be too late!
Jesus died on Calvary’s cross for your sins - to save you from falling into everlasting destruction. If you confess your sins and ask Him right now to be your Savior, you have His assurance that "whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16)
